Storage Advice

It is important to note that all the Skin Deli products are preservative-free which means that they will have a 'shelf-life' of around 6-12 months.

Our products are hand-made in small batches, aiming to ensure that your product is as fresh as possible. The size of each product has been developed with this in mind and any products opened and not finished will have limited durability.

To maintain the freshness of your Skin Deli products, we recommend storing in a cool, dark place. In summer months the fridge ideal.

Tips and Uses

The textures of the Skin Deli products may differ slightly to your usual skin and body care products. Creams that are usually applied to the face frequently contain water. We refrain from using water as in order to preserve a product that contains water, preservatives and stabilisers are used. We do not use any chemicals or unnatural ingredients which therefore results in a ‘balm' like texture to our products. At first, a little different to what you are used to but you easily get accustomed to the texture as you benefit from great conditioned skin.

To prolong the life of Skin Deli products, simply keep them stored in a cool environment. These are natural products they will melt at approximately 32 degrees but if this should occur pop them in the fridge and they will soon harden up again. When this happens, the product may feel slightly grainy. This is actually a good thing because it is as a result of refraining from using chemicals and preservatives and a reminder that your product is made from entirely natural ingredients. Plus you get to enjoy a deliciously cool and soothing product.

Additional Cosmetic Skincare Use

For an added cosmetic use, warm a little of any Skin Deli facial oils or pomades between your finger tips until it appears oily. Use under foundation to create a flawless complexion as the product will allow your foundation to smooth over skin more easily and dilute it just enough to give it a really naturally look. The result is similar to that of a tinted moisturiser.

Ingredients

Carrot Oil

Carrot oil is a bright orange oil rich in beta carotene, antioxidants, vitamins A, E and C. It effectively treats dry, mature skin, prevents and treats wrinkles, sagging skin, stretch marks, sun damage and under eye swelling. Extremely nourishing and a moisturiser that aids repair damaged skin cells and rebuild cell tissue.

Chamomile

A fantastic all around healer, soother, calmer, and emollient. Nurtures and protects the skin.

Vitamin C

Vitamin c works within your skin and with your skin's enzymes over time, lightening and brightening the complexion, providing antioxidant action and repairing sun damage, spots, and discoloration. It also prevents premature aging and helps fill and repair lines and wrinkles.

Grape Seed Oil

Grape seed oil is light and very easily absorbed with rich sources of linoleic acid (Omega 6). Pressed from the seeds of grapes, this is one of the most powerful antioxidants. The oil prevents and treats free-radical damage, sun damage, and pollution effects.

Jojoba

Jojoba oil is actually a liquid plant wax. It has an indefinite shelf life and is a valuable skin and hair care oil. Rich and nourishing, it creates a protective film over the skin which helps to retain moisture. Jojoba is extremely effective for mature, dry, and damaged skin and does not clog pores.

Lemon Oil

A natural toner and skin freshener. Lemon is fantastic for balancing and refreshing both dry and oily skin.

Pure Fruit Oils

Pure, cold pressed or expressed fruit oils are highly emollient and moisturising, light and easily absorbed. They are high in nutrients and vitamins A and E, beta carotene, and essential fatty acids.

Shea Butter

Shea butter is a rich and fantastic skin softening treatment. Only a tiny amount is required to notice a significant difference in tone, moistness, softness and strength.

Pricing
All products are priced in UK Pound Sterling are inclusive of VAT (at the current rates) and are exclusive of delivery charges.

Shopping
By placing an order on our website, you are thereby agreeing to the Terms and Conditions. After placing an order online, you will receive an automatically generated email confirming your order. We may not accept your order if we suspect fraudulent activity or violation of our Terms and Conditions (including our Privacy policy below). If for some reason we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you by email or telephone.

Delivery
Our standard postal charge is around £3.00 per order to UK mainland and is based on weight. Personal use orders to the value of £50 or above will be delivered free of charge (Trade orders excluded). Trade orders postage/shipping is charged at cost. For international orders, please contact us.

We use First Class recorded service from Royal Mail. A signature will be required upon receipt of the parcel.

Allow between 3 to 5 working days for delivery. If the goods are not delivered within that time, please contact us by email at info@theskindeli.com quoting your order reference number. We do not accept any liability for delayed delivery caused by any third party.

Returns & Refunds
All our items are carefully checked prior to despatch. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item to us for a full refund. It must be returned within its “best before/use by” date (found on both the outer box packaging and base of product bottle or jar). Please contact us at info@theskindeli.com to inform us of your wish to return the goods.

You will be responsible for the item(s) until they reach us. For your own protection, we recommend you use a secure delivery method which requires a signature upon delivery such as Royal Mail First Class Recorded delivery. Return postage costs will only be refunded if the item is faulty. Refunds will be made in accordance with the method of payment used.

Privacy
We make a commitment to protect your privacy and promise only to use information collected about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the European Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications (2002/58/EC) and other laws and regulations that may come into force from time to time. We will not pass your information on to any third party.

Please note that all credit/debit card information that you provide upon payment is dealt with by PayPal in a secure environment. The Skin Deli has no access to this information. The Skin Deli does not hold your financial data.
